The Tri-Towns of Dacono, Firestone and Frederick are centrally located between the Denver metro area and Northern Colorado with convenient access to both I-25 and E470. The Tri-Towns have a history of working together and are now developing formal plans for the region. Together, the three communities are recognized for diverse activities, strong heritage and growing opportunities.
A growing community with a friendly, small-town atmosphere, the City of Dacono offers affordable housing in a variety of styles and prices. Residents enjoy panoramic views of the Front Range and a short driving distance to many outdoor recreational activities in the Rocky Mountains.
Dacono has two highly-rated public school districts: Ft Lupton School District and St Vrain Valley School District. Area schools are known for a low student to teacher ratios and offer comprehensive curricula that provide outstanding educational opportunities.
Dacono hosts the Carbon Valley Music Festival that features a line-up of talented local and regional musicians as well as food, crafts and a spectacular fireworks show.
Dacono is also home to Colorado National Speedway, a NASCAR sanctioned 3/8ths mile paved oval track.
In the last decade, the Town of Firestone has been the fastest-growing municipality in Colorado. It boasts the lowest taxes in the region with only 2% sales tax and no sales tax on groceries. Although residents enjoy low taxes, Firestone has excellent public services and a high-quality school system.
Firestone, striving to be the best small town in the USA, takes pride in its 4th of July festivities, the town’s signature event.
The town has many trails and recreational areas, including Central Park, a 270 acre civic complex. Firestone is home to St. Vrain State Park, a peaceful and simple outdoor escape.
The Town of Frederick has experienced dynamic growth in recent years and expects that growth to continue. The population stands at approximately 8500 residents, with a projected growth to 60,000 – 80,000 residents within 30 years. Although many residents commute to nearby employment and educational centers in Denver and Boulder, Frederick possesses a diverse and growing mix of its own employers with over 2,000 primary jobs in many fields, from renewable energy to healthcare to manufacturing and more.
The Town of Frederick can be characterized as a young, family-oriented community with an average resident age of 31 and household size of 2.9. The town holds 645 acres of parks and recreational open spaces.
